The third issue of Inklings is hot off the press! You can pick up a copy at the Common Grounds Coffee Bar at Living Word.
Inklings is a compilation of short stories, reflections and poems written by people of LW. If you are interested in submitting a piece for the next issue (in August), please contact me, deAnn. How to info is on the right sidebar --->
I love to write and love even more to encourage others to write. I'd like to see more guys submit their work, we only have a few who currently do.
Also, by fall time, we'll be opening a writers group to both guys and gals and it will meet 2x a month. Let me know if you are interested in hearing more about this.
God used words to communicate the Word to us. I believe He can use our words to communicate to our hearts and other's hearts as well. What's holding you back from picking up the pen? Or plunking the letters on your keyboard? Follow His lead...and write.

deAnn, definitely interested in a writers group [been meaning to ask you, but things have been hectic lately]. Also loved the picture of broken glass. God using our brokenness to help others. In youth group, years ago, I was asked to do a very weird experiment with one other guy. We were fed ingredients [a small amount of flour -yuck-, a teaspoon of salt, a bit of Cocoa powder, an egg -raw, yuck again- you get the picture] after we slowly gaged & swallowed all of it the speaker gave us the other part of what we had eaten -a tasty cake. A similar statement was made. Parts of our life aren't easy to swallow at the moment that they happen, but when God "bakes it all together" it can be very sweet in the end.
If my life is broken when given to Jesus, it is because pieces will feed a multitude, while a loaf will satisfy only a little lad.
