Omg, I can relate to that quote. When I feel the creative impulse bubbling up from within and I just ignore it, pushing it back down, I feel alive but numb. Comfortably numb (you Pink Floyd fans know what I mean). But when I obey my creative voice, make a date with it and draw, paint or write, slowly the feeling comes back to that which was numb. It's mysterious and wonderful. Have you had that experience?
