Contemplative Photography

Photograph (c) Christine Valters Painter

The heart of Vertical Creativity is to encouage one another to become aware of God's presence in daily life through our own creative endeavors. Those of you who know me, know that photography is one way that I slow down and notice the beauty of God's creation, contemplative photography. In doing so, those moments become sacred. And I'm not the only one who feels that photography is a sacred practice. I'm on the newsletter email list for the website Abbey of the Arts. In the most recent newsletter, there is an article titled, "Photography as a Sacred Practice." It's worth taking a gander.

Makes me excited for the next LWCC photo field trip.
